I am based locally and regularly conduct on-site inspections for collections of all sizes across Canberra and the surrounding ACT Regions.

What I'm Buying (And What I Skip)

I am actively hunting for small to extensive collections across a massive spectrum of music history.

High-Demand Formats & Genres:

• Vinyl Records: LPs, 12" singles, and 7" 45s spanning the 1960s, 70s, 80s, 90s, through to modern pressings.

• Compact Discs: Large CD collections, provided they are in excellent, scratch-free condition.

• Core Styles: All types of Rock, Alternative, Pop, Punk, Heavy Metal, Thrash, Jazz, Blues, Funk, Soul, New Wave, Reggae, Dub, House, Techno, and Electronic.

 

What I Typically Do Not Buy:

• General easy listening and country artists and compilations from the 1950's to 70's ie: Richard Clayderman, The Seekers, Kamahl, Slim Dusty, Nana Maskouri etc

• Classical music. (Note: I am interested in certain rare or imported classical pressings, so please ask if you are unsure).

• You may have a lot of classical but also other genres I am interested in purchasing so please get in touch and we will work out the best options for selling/moving different genres.

How My Valuation Process Works

When I evaluate your collection, I look closely at few things including:

1. Physical Condition: The state of both the vinyl surface and the cardboard jacket.

2. Pressing Country: Where the record was manufactured (which may heavily dictate collector demand).

3. Label Variations: Specific first-pressings, limited editions, or historical record labels.

4. Live Market Value: Current real-world trading data, rather than unrealistic online asking prices.

Once reviewed, I will explain exactly how I reached the price and make you a clear offer. If you accept, payouts are settled immediately via cash or secure bank transfer, and I will take care of all the packing and heavy lifting.
